Turkish Cuisine Dinner Week

In an effort to save money while “eating clean” this week  I’m going to make a batch of kofte (which, admittedly I’ve never tried, maybe I’ll accidentally make a good recipe.  Truth be told I don’t actually *like* Turkish Kofte because it’s always so dry–but I’ve never made it myself, so we’ll see what I can come up with)  I wish I could get my hands on some good pickled vegetables/Torshi and French bread.

  • Kofte
  • Rice Pilaf (rice + orzo)
  • Kuru Fasulye (white beans in tomato sauce)
  • Okra & carrots in tomato sauce (invented recipe derived from Terry’s mom)
  • Ezo Gelin (red lentil mint soup)
  • Turkish salad
  • Onion-sumac relish
  • Pickled chili peppers
  • fries
