Robbie’s Pecan Pie

This is the first time I’ve ever made pecan pie, it was delish–especially for breakfast 😉


  • 1.5 cup white sugar
  • 1/4 cup dark corn syrup
  • 1 tbsp water
  • 1/4 cup butter
  • 2 tsp corn starch
  • 3 eggs
  • 1/4 tsp salt
  • ~2 cups of pecans, chopped
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract
  • 1 pie crust


  1. Bring sugar, corn syrup, butter, water, and cornstarch to a boil over medium heat.  Remove from heat to cool
  2. Beat the eggs and salt until frothy.  Slowly beat in the cooled sugar mixture.
  3. Stir in vanilla and pecans.
  4. Pout into a pie crust and bake at 350 degrees for 45-50 minutes.
