At Smart & Final I bought a HUGE can of hominy. and now I have about 6 cups of hominy left over. I also have about a cup of BBQ sauce in the fridge. My plan is so make BBQ hominy soup. I want to blend half of the hominy and leave the other half intact. Add some sliced onion and [maybe] sumak at the end, sour cream & tortilla chips are a hesitant maybe. I think oregano would go well on top too. hmm.
Results: It seems that every soup made with hominy ends up tasting like pozole. ::sigh::
I’ll never buy that big can again!
